House Bills:

H01388 - Carries a penalty of 30 year mandatory sentence up to life for forcible rape of a child under 14.
 
H01389 - Carries a life sentence no parole for any 2nd offense of rape of a child under 14.
 
H01390 - " Three Strikes You're in" Law: Three convictions for any sex offense ranging from Lewd and Lascivious acts up to forcible rape would carry a penalty of life imprisonment with NO PAROLE.

 

Senate Bill:

 
S884 -
 
1) Amends the current law from “any term of years” to a mandatory 15 years for forcible rape of a child under 16.

2) 30 years mandatory up to life for rape of a child under 16 - Repeat offenders or with aggravating factors.

3) Repeat Sex Offender " Three Strikes You're in" Law: Three convictions for any sex offense ranging from Lewd and Lascivious acts up to forcible rape would carrying a penalty of life imprisonment with NO PAROLE.  
  
The "Three Strikes You're in" Law applies to anyone who is convicted three or more times for crimes ranging from:
  • Lewd and Lascivious acts
  • Indecent assault and battery on a child, elder or disabled
  • Forcible Rape
  • Attempted Rape
  • Enticing a child under 16
  • Drugging for sexual intercourse
  • Inducing a child into prostitution
  • Statutory Rape
  • Possession of child porn
  • Dissemination of child porn
  • Posing a child in a state of nudity
 
 
 

Please write, call and email your State Senator and Representative asking for their support of bills HB1388, HB1389, HB1390 and S884 – Please be sure to tell them you are a constituent and you are would like their support for our bills calling for strong mandatory sentences for child predators and life imprisonment for repeat offenders.
